The wonderful thing about an 8two8 story is.....

The wonderful thing about an 8two8 story is that it never really ends, the blessings I mean... Just when you see the "good" that can come from the painful or scarey moments in your life, a day will pass, or a month or even a year, and you begin to see even more good that came out of that same situation... I've always wanted children. Ever since I was a little girl I couldn't wait to be a mommy. It wasn't until I accepted Christ at 36 and married my wonderful husband at 41, that I finally got pregnant for the first time. But I miscarried at 9 weeks and was crushed. Later, it would become obvious that it was an 8two8story in the making. Timing is everything and our marriage was NOT on solid ground during that first pregnancy. Our idea of communicating during conflict was my husband remaining silent, and me screaming, swearing and throwing things. I didn't recognize myself for about a year and we were extremely discouraged. Another year passed, and with the help of biblical counseling, our marriage was built on the Rock and we were finally blessed with our son Noah in 2006. A MOMMY AT LAST! God knew exactly what we could handle and his timing was PERFECT. (By the way, God even uses the muck from our early marriage to encourage other couples that there is true healing with God.) I'm 46 now, and just miscarried again. But I've had the ultimate Comforter with me and can smile this time, KNOWING that God will use my sadness and loss for good. I've realized just recently, that even if it's ONLY to feel closer to Him and His AMAZING LOVE for me, it's worth it. There is nothing like PERFECT PEACE in the midst of a storm, and it's only from the Lord... ;-)

Breaking the Chain

It is amazing how the Lord works. I "happened" to see a person today that I met in a bible study a few years back. We started talking about life and how we definitely know how "God can use ANYTHING in our life for good"...Romans 8:28 We never discovered our similar histories while fellowshiping in bible study, however, our similar families of origin brought us together today tearfully....and how the Lord has used each of us to break the chain for our children.

What an 8two8 moment!!

What an 8two8 moment!!

A piece of confetti !!

Last weekend I was blessed with a visit from my 90 year old grandpa. We mentioned we were going to church and he was excited to attend with us.

As I stood to worship, I watched as my grandpa began singing and clapping. I began to realize that I was a part of an 8two8 moment. You see we lost my grandmother, my Grandpas wife of 71 years, in September of 2008. Through our grieving process my Grandpa and I have become closer, even more than we were before. It took losing my grandmother to be blessed with my grandfathers interest in Jesus. PTL....Guess what....Grandpa wants to go to church with us again!!!

Confetti -

As I strolled through our local Hallmark store, I was drawn to this cards that read.....

I wish I could take all your troubles and turn them into confetti......then toss them so high into
the air they'd fall back to earth as blessings...!!!!

Isn't that exactly what our Heavenly Father does for us. He uses
ALL those crumpled pieces in our
lives and through HIS grace tears them up into beautiful pieces of confetti and showers them back
to us as blessings.!!!

May I pray this day HE brings you showers of beautiful blessings!!!

There are 8two8's everyday!!!

With every new day God creates new ways to see Him and how He works in our lives !

One of His greatest gifts are blessings that we may not originally see as a blessing.

Remember: We know that God uses all things to work together for the good of those that love Him, who are called according to His purpose !
